The Qur’an teaches us to work for the good of this life, as well as the hereafter (Al-Baqarah 2:201, 7:156), in contrast to the mindset of those who consider economic prosperity in this life to be an end in itself. According to the Qur’an, such people live at the animal level:
Humans and the Rights towards God
What duties do we, creatures, owe to God? What are the requirements of being Muslim? What sense do they have to man? What are their benefits?
Why Do We Need to Worship God?
Why do we humans need prayer, fasting, such ritual acts? Can’t I be a devoted believer without such acts particularly when I am pious and God-conscious enough? Are there faith-based or action-based religions?
